Epilogue - The new Zombie Movie by the Creator of The Haunting of Hill House

Mike Flanagan, the guy behind Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor, Midnight Mass and The Fall of the House of Usher, is making a new zombie movie with the title of Epilogue. Based on its synopsis it's safe to say that it's a post-zombie apocalypse movie. Sorry, everyone who want to see more of the first days of the outbreak-type movies.

The synopsis is as follows: “Set one year after the zombie apocalypse has supposedly come to an end, the film will follow a desperate couple who set out to find a cure for their infected daughter.”

So far, the movie has Kate Siegel and David Dastmalchian in the lead roles.

The movie will be produced by Mike Flanagan and directed by Michael Fimognari, with a screenplay by Luke Barnett and Tanner Thomasson.

Flanagan has been involved in many projects dealing with vampires, ghosts, demons and more, but he's never done a proper zombie movie. And while this is in no way a good measurement, the ratings of his movies and shows seem to land somewhere between low and high 7s on IMDB, with a few outliers.

Personally I enjoyed the Haunting of Hill House, Doctor Sleep with some good callbacks to The Shining and The Fall of the House of Usher. I finished it but I couldn't get into Midnight Mass at all. Hopefully we get a solid zombie movie.
