TheWrap has reported that Netflix quietly canceled all future projects attached to the Army of the Dead franchise. According to Zack Snyder, there were ambitious plans including several sequels and spin-offs as well as an almost completed animated show called Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas. The show was also going to establish that Snyder's non-zombie franchise Rebel Moon shares a universe with the Army of the Dead franchise.
Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead franchise reached two movies, and a few short films;
- Army of the Dead (2021)
- Army of Thieves (2021)
- The Reckoning (2021)
- Guzman of the Dead 420 (2021)
While the movies weren't masterpieces they certainly weren't the bottom of the barrel either in terms of zombie movies. It's disappointing news and we hope the franchise will be revived in the future.
